QR Diffuser, broadband one-dimensional quadratic residue sound diffuser

The QR Diffuser (QRD) is the ideal broadband sound diffuser, based on the quadratic residue theory. The diffusion pattern is independent of the angle of incidence. Thanks to the variable depths of the panel, sound is diffused evenly over a 180° angle. Moreover, when placed alternately horizontally and vertically, the sound is diffused bidimensionally. The QRD is highly suitable as a sound diffusor not only in auditoria, theaters and concert halls, but especially in smaller rooms as home theaters, HiFi and control rooms and recording studios.
