One of the most important issues during the renovation of the Olympic Pool Namèche in Brussels was the improvement of the acoustic comfort of both swimmers and lifeguards. The architectural firm Altiplan decided to integrate acoustic innovative materials as part of the large glass façade and in the higher reaches of the surrounding walls.

In one continuous line, the sintered aluminium Calme panels join the sliding see-through Filva-T frames, effectively soaking up all disturbing noise.

Calme is water- and chlorineproof suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications such as swimming pools and noise barriers.

Filva-T reduces acoustic reflections and spreads diffuse natural daylight deep into the pool building. It is a thin and lightweight panel with endless possibilities.
